Sometimes a customer just needs more power - and they need it done right. We went out to a loyal customer in Oakley to install a new 240V receptacle. Simple request on the surface, but there was more going on once we got eyes on the existing setup.
The sub-panel we were working with was packed with wires running in every direction - no cover, breakers crammed in, and the kind of situation where you slow down and think before you touch anything. That's not a complaint, just the reality of older electrical work. Our job is to make sense of it and move forward safely.
For the 240V receptacle itself, we ran proper conduit, landed the wiring clean, and used a weatherproof enclosure with a flip-cover box to protect it from the elements. That matters a lot on an outdoor install - moisture is not something you want near a high-voltage connection. Everything was done to code and built to last.
The old panel told a story too. Hand-written labels, a door held together with wear, wiring that had been added to over the years without much organization. That's the kind of thing we flag for customers - not to upsell, but because a sub-panel in that condition is worth paying attention to. We handle everything from circuit breaker troubleshooting to full panel upgrades, and we always give customers a straight answer about what they're working with.
Taking care of repeat customers is something we genuinely value. When someone calls us back, it means the last job was done right. That's the standard we hold ourselves to every time we show up.
