That Buzzing Sound in Your Network Cabinet Has a Source

A customer reached out because something in their home was buzzing - and not in a good way. Sounds like that are easy to dismiss at first, but they almost never go away on their own. They usually mean something is wrong.

We traced the noise back to their network cabinet. Inside, we found a coax amplifier that had gone faulty. That little power supply block sitting at the bottom of the cabinet was the culprit - drawing power and putting out enough noise to be a real nuisance. Once we disconnected it, the buzzing stopped completely. Simple fix, but only after you know where to look.
